Sometimes, We Just Gotta Make the Best of It

Image
So every Sunday, my roommates and I do roomie dinner together after church. Being excited, I attempted to make this awesome pizza stuff where you make it rolled into a loaf of bread. Well, sorry to say, I don't think I added enough flour to my dough. Making the pizza wasn't difficult, but rolling it up was a different story. We decided just to blob is all into the pan. Though it does not look like it, this dinner was quite delicious! I just can't wait til I can perfect the art of making bread dough and rolling it!  This taught me a good lesson. Sometimes, really good things are disguised as something not so appealing.  (Therefore, appealing things must be awful, right?) This just teaches me to not judge. It is so easy to walk down the street and look as someone and think, "Oh, you don't look like everyone else, you must be weird. I can't talk to you". NOO!!!! This is why our world is so messed up right now. Imagine if nobody judged, if everyone acce...

When One Ends, Another Begins

The semester is finally drawing to a close. I feel like I just went over the top of the hill and I'm on a pair of ski's and just flyin' down that steep hill. For those who know me well, this wouldn't end well. Let's just say it would end with me on my face stuck in the snow!! Let's just pretend that I'm a pro skier though, because I feel so on top of this semester! It is such a fantastic feeling.  Tonight I had my Orchestra Concert of the semester. I thought it went pretty well, though it was super long. Playing Warlock, Tchaikovsky, Chadwick, and William Tell, it was good repertoire which I'm grateful for. I am all done with orchestra for the rest of the week (whoo!) but now I get to work in place of going to Orchestra! I'm so grateful to have a job. I just hope I don't butcher it too badly (;  Another great thing I found out today is that even though technically finals finish on the 7th of April, I am done with all classes and finals and...

The Melons of Life

Image
Everybody knows the phrase, "If life gives you lemons, make lemonade". In class, this kid had a t-shirt on that read, "If life gives you melons, you might be dyslexic". You could look at it this way, but think about it! Life throws so many crazy things at you at the most random time, you've got to make the best of it. I feel like so many melons are being thrown at me. These most amazing people in the picture above help me. Ethan Fulbright and Desi Gross, what would I do without them? We get through some of the most boringest classes together, play games, talk for hours, and take runs to McD's an hour before curfew, making the employees mad! What would life be without a little spontaneous action with your friends? I most definitely would not be the same person without all the friends I have.  My name is Keli Davis, and I take these melons as a challenge. They strengthen me as a human being, and I'll bring them on with all I've got!!!
