Sometimes, We Just Gotta Make the Best of It

So every Sunday, my roommates and I do roomie dinner together after church. Being excited, I attempted to make this awesome pizza stuff where you make it rolled into a loaf of bread. Well, sorry to say, I don't think I added enough flour to my dough. Making the pizza wasn't difficult, but rolling it up was a different story. We decided just to blob is all into the pan. Though it does not look like it, this dinner was quite delicious! I just can't wait til I can perfect the art of making bread dough and rolling it!

This taught me a good lesson. Sometimes, really good things are disguised as something not so appealing.  (Therefore, appealing things must be awful, right?) This just teaches me to not judge. It is so easy to walk down the street and look as someone and think, "Oh, you don't look like everyone else, you must be weird. I can't talk to you". NOO!!!! This is why our world is so messed up right now. Imagine if nobody judged, if everyone accepted everyone as they are. Our world would finally be a good place to live in. This is what I've been focusing on this semester. I have met so amazing people that I may not have if I had my judging cap on.

One thing I really miss about home is my social life. I thought, "Oh, I'm going to BYU Idaho! There are so many things to do, I'm going to be busy every night with so many friends!" Wrong. For those who know me, what I thought above is what I did at home. College has changed me! I miss the movie nights. I miss the game nights. I miss the late night going to Sharis with the gang.
Tonight, Cody came over, and it made me realize how good it is to have a social life outside of school. Just sitting and playing games and just talking is so relaxing and so much fun, so thanks Cody! Maybe next semester, I'll be a lot more social and put myself out there!

  1. I never would have thought that you didn't have a social life! You're so active! :)

But you know what they say about college... there's sleep, good grades, and a social life, but you can only have two!
